Kittle finished the season with 88 receptions, the most by a TE in a single season in franchise history. His reception total was the most in a single season by a member of the 49ers since WR Terrell Owens finished with 100 receptions in 2002.

Kittle registered 100-or-more reception yards for the fourth time this season, the most 100-yard games by a TE in a single-season in franchise history. It also marked the first time a member of the 49ers has registered four games of 100-or-more reception yards since WR Michael Crabtree did so in 2012.

Kittle finished the season with six games of 90-or-more yards, setting the franchise record by a TE with 90-or-more reception yards in a game in a single season.


Kittle finished the season with an NFL-leading 870 yards after the catch, according to the 49ers. That total is the most by any player in a single season since 2010. Pro Football Focus has his yards after the catch total at 873, a slighly better mark than the NFL's number.


Kittle finished the season as Pro Football Focus' top-graded tight end with an overall grade of 89.8.

QB Nick Mullens completed 23 of 33 pass attempts for 282 yards with three touchdowns against the Rams. He has become the first 49ers QB to register 220-or-more passing yards in eight consecutive games since QB Joe Montana did so in nine consecutive games from December 9, 1985, to December 7, 1986.

Mullens has thrown for 2,277 yards in his first eight career games, the fourth-most in the NFL since 1970.

RB Alfred Morris registered 16 carries for a season-high 111 yards and one touchdown, including a season-long 51-yard run. His 51-yard run was the second-longest of his career (70 vs. LAR on 10/1/17). His one-yard touchdown run marked his second of the season and 34th of his career.

Sunday's performance marked the 15th career game, and first with the 49ers, that Morris registered 100-or-more rushing yards.

WR Richie James Jr. registered three receptions for 32 yards and the first touchdown reception of his career. He scored on a nine-yard pass from Mullens.


WR Kendrick Bourne registered five receptions for 59 yards and one touchdown reception. He caight a two-yard touchdown from Mullens.

T Joe Staley earned a Pro Football Focus pass block grade of 86.2 while not allowing a QB pressure in his 40 pass blocking snaps.

K Robbie Gould finished the season with a 97.1 made field goal percentage (33-of-34), setting the franchise record for highest field goal percentage in a single season. His percentage also led the NFL (minimum 15 attempts). Gould is scheduled to become a free agent in March.

CB Richard Sherman did not allow a catch against the Rams and was only targeted once, according to Pro Football Focus.

Sherman allowed a catch every 20.2 coverage snaps this season, according to Pro Football Focus, which is the best number in the NFL among qualifying cornerbacks. His 12.6 coverage snaps per target also ranked first, and his 0.72 receiving yards allowed per coverage snap was fourth.

The 49ers defense set a new NFL record for the fewest takeaways in a single season with seven. The previous record of 11 was set by the Baltimore Colts during the 1982 season and later tied by three teams (Houston Texans in 2013, Dallas Cowboys in 2015, and the Chicago Bears in 2016).

The 49ers defense finished the season with just two interceptions, which is a new record for fewest by a team in a single season.
