Delaire will wear number 92 while McCaffrey will wear number 14.
Both Breida and Pettis were ruled out for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Los Angeles Rams. Breida has been dealing with an ankle injury, which was re-aggravated last weekend against the Chicago Bears, while Pettis left the game with a knee injury.
The 49ers signed Breida as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Southern in 2017. He has 814 rushing yards on 153 carries (5.3 yards per carry) with three touchdowns and has added 27 receptions for 261 yards with two receiving touchdowns through 14 games and 13 starts this season.
The 49ers made Pettis a second-round draft pick out of Washington in April. He has 27 receptions for 467 yards with five touchdowns through 12 games and seven starts this season. Pettis leads all wide receivers in receiving yards and all 49ers players in touchdown receptions.
The 49ers initially signed Delaire to the practice squad on September 26. He was promoted to the active roster on October 6 and then waived on October 15. The 49ers re-signed Delaire to the practice squad on October 17.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed Delaire as an undrafted free agent out of Towson in 2015. He spent two seasons with the Carolina Panthers (2015-16) before a brief stint with the Indianapolis Colts.
The 49ers signed McCaffrey from the Green Bay Packers practice squad on December 13, 2017. He was active for the team's final three games of last season. The 49ers waived McCaffrey on August 29 due to an injury and signed him to the practice squad on November 27.
