Now, Ennis is claiming what she said on the witness stand were lies to protect Foster. She is also claiming that 49ers representatives tried to discredit her to police during Foster's November 24 arrest.
"Even when I called the police, the 49ers came up there," Ennis said on "Good Morning America." "I have pictures of the 49ers coming up there trying to talk to the police telling them I'm the same ex-girlfriend that sat up there and lied."
Ennis told "Good Morning America" that she and Foster had been arguing after she threatened to tell his new girlfriend that he paid for her flight to Florida to see him.
"He took one of my new phones and slapped me and pushed me," she said.
Ennis, now claiming she lied during that earlier trial, says she did so because she loved Foster.
"I did what I had to do for the person I love," she said. "I thought that he would change, anybody in my position would do the same thing."
The 49ers waived Foster on November 26. The Washington Redskins claimed the troubled linebacker on November 27.
