49ers CEO Jed York, along with Montana and Clark's wife, Kelly, will be on hand about four hours before kickoff at 9:30 a.m. PT near the Intel Gate A at Levi's Stadium to unveil the statues commemorating one of the greatest moments in team history. 49ers alumni, including members of the 1994 Super Bowl championship team, will also be on hand.
The event will conclude around 10:30 a.m. PT.
Each statue weighs approximately 350 pounds and will be placed precisely 23 yards apart, just as Clark and Montana were during the famous play on January 10, 1982.
Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams will also feature the 49ers wearing their throwback away uniforms from the 1994 season. It will be the only game this season to feature the uniforms. The team has been honoring Clark, who passed away in June at the age of 61 after his battle with ALS, all season with players wearing "87" (his jersey number with the 49ers) decals on their helmets.
Sunday's playing field will also feature an "87" marking in the north end zone commemorating the location of "The Catch," which occurred at Candlestick Park.
