Vegas oddsmakers are looking to make some money on Bell's future with the Steelers ... or, perhaps, another team.
OddsShark released odds this week on which NFL team will end up with Bell for the 2019 season. While the Steelers have the best odds, the San Francisco 49ers came in second.
At least the Steelers didn't do too badly without Bell on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. They didn't win, but they also didn't lose either. The two teams tied, which isn't something for Steelers fans to necessarily celebrate. The issue, however, didn't seem to be a lack of a running game. Second-year running back James Conner filled in for Bell and rushed for 135 yards on 31 carries with two touchdowns. He also added five receptions for 57 yards.
In March, the 49ers invested in former Minnesota Vikings running back Jerick McKinnon to the tune of a four-year deal worth up to $30 million. He is out for the season with a torn ACL. The 49ers do have an out on McKinnon's contract after this season, but head coach Kyle Shanahan seemed too excited to utilize the versatile running back to simply part ways with him and formulate another plan.
Although, Bell might be a very enticing option, so you never know.
H/t to Larry Krueger of KNBR for the find.
