It didn't take long for two former San Francisco 49ers defensive players to find new homes. Both defensive end Jeremiah Attaochu and linebacker Korey Toomer were released by San Francisco on Saturday as part of the team's roster cut-down to 53 players.

Attaochu signed with the New York Jets while Toomer has joined the Green Bay Packers.

Both Attaochu and Toomer were with the Los Angeles Chargers before joining the 49ers this offseason. The 49ers signed Attaochu to a one-year deal on March 15 while Toomer was signed to a one-year deal on April 4.

Attaochu appeared in 38 games with 13 starts with the Chargers over four seasons while registering 83 combined tackles, 10 sacks, two passes defensed, and two forced fumbles.

Toomer recorded 123 combined tackles, two sacks, five passes defensed, an interception which he returned for a touchdown, and five forced fumbles in 28 games and 16 starts with Los Angeles over the past two seasons.

Update: Former 49ers tight end Cole Hikutini has been signed to the practice squad of the team's first regular-season opponent — the Minnesota Vikings.
