The report date is nearly six weeks after the conclusion of last week's mandatory minicamp.
The coaching staff will begin preparations for the arrival of players on Monday, July 23, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.
The 49ers are one of just 11 NFL teams which will have their veterans and rookies report to training camp on the same day. Many NFL teams have rookies report to training camp first with the quarterbacks often joining them before the rest of the veterans arrive. That won't be the case for Shanahan's squad.
"I don't have them come back a week early," Shanahan explained last week. "I haven't been with a team that I can remember that's done that. I know that was always the case when I was younger because I would always be pissed I had to go up as a ball boy to Rockland a week early just for the rookies and be up there five weeks or whatever it was. But, I think we get enough time in. Rookie year is different for rookies. It's long. They hit a rookie wall. They're not used to it no matter what you tell them. I'm not trying to get them to make that even longer for them."
The 49ers will announce their full training camp practice schedule, including any practices open to fans, at a later date.
