"Zane is a consummate professional and has represented our organization with exceptional class," said general manager John Lynch via a statement issued by the team. "He is an unselfish guy who stepped up in a big way for our team last year and we can't thank him enough for all his contributions to the organization and our community. Zane is just the kind of player and person we would always be open to welcoming back down the road, but releasing him now provides ample opportunity to find the right situation with his next team. We wish him and his family all the best as he moves forward in his career."
Beadles (6-4, 305) initially agreed to a three-year deal worth up to $11.75 million with the 49ers on March 17, 2016, with his signing officially coming five days later.
In eight NFL seasons, Beadles has appeared in 128 games with 115 starts. Over the past two seasons with San Francisco, he appeared in 32 games with 21 starts. In 2017, Beadles started five games, which included one at left guard and four at right tackle. He lost his starting job to Laken Tomlinson after last year's season opener. Beadles started 16 games in each of his seasons between 2011 and 2016.
The Denver Broncos made Beadles a second-round draft pick out of Utah in 2010. He was named to his only Pro Bowl in 2012, replacing New England Patriots guard Logan Mankins.
In addition to Denver and San Francisco, Beadles spent two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
