The San Francisco 49ers were among seven NFL teams at Yale's pro day on March 30. While 49ers representatives watched linebacker Matt Oplinger, they also had their eye on Foye Oluokun. Oluokun is scheduled to have a pre-draft visit with the 49ers, according to Dane Brugler of NFLDraftScout.com.

Oluokun also has visits scheduled with the Kansas City Chiefs, Indianapolis Colts, Seattle Seahawks, and Arizona Cardinals. NFL teams see him as a potential fit at linebacker or safety.

The 6-foot-1, 230-pound linebacker ran a 4.56-second 40-yard dash, had a 37-inch vertical jump, and a 10-foot-3 broad jump during the pro day in New Haven, Connecticut.

Oluokun was the recipient of Yale's Charles Loftus Award for the most valuable freshman in 2013 after a season with 59 combined tackles, one for a loss, and four passes defensed. In 2014, he appeared in 10 games and registered a career-high 79 combined tackles, 1.5 for a loss, two interceptions, a blocked kick, and two passes defensed. Oluokun played in just three games in 2015 and missed the rest of the season due to an injury.

In 2016, Oluokun made 75 tackles, two for a loss, an interception, and seven passes defensed in nine games. As a senior in 2017, he recorded 50 combined tackles, nine for a loss, two forced fumbles, an interception, and four passes defensed in 10 game appearances.

Oluokun was not invited to the Shrine Game, Senior Bowl, or combine.

"From the outside looking in, my story, I'm a long shot," Oluokun told CBS Denver. "But growing up with me and being around me, I wouldn't think I'm a long shot at all."

The 49ers are permitted to host up to 30 players for visits at the team's headquarters in Santa Clara, California. Visitors are not allowed to work out for the team unless they are local prospects.
