The San Francisco 49ers are scheduled to hold a private workout with Dwelley next week, according to Tony Pauline of Draft Analyst.
"Dwelley measured 6-6/241 pounds, timed 4.9s in the forty and touched 27.5 inches in the vertical jump," Pauline wrote. "Dwelley, who plays much faster than he times, interviewed with the New York Jets and Tennessee Titans today. The San Francisco 49ers are coming in next week to work him out privately."
Despite missing two games due to a dislocated finger, Dwelley led all FCS tight ends with 10 touchdown receptions last season. It was a total that matched his previous season's effort. Since 2016, Dwelley registered 120 receptions for 1,506 yards with 20 touchdowns, according to Fox Sports.
The 49ers currently have four tight ends on their roster. They are George Kittle, who was a fifth-round draft pick last year, veteran Garrett Celek, Cole Hikutini, who was signed as an undrafted free agent last year, and Cole Wick.
