Kale Steed, who is a reporter for the Amarillo Globe-News, had an opportunity to speak with the offensive lineman since he agreed to join the 49ers.
"I've been blessed," Richburg told Steed. "God has given me more than enough. This is life changing. Being drafted was great, but this is right up there with getting married. It's just hard to put into words."
Steed says the 49ers are getting one of the best offensive lineman in the league who has nothing but upside. "Also one of the best young men out there," he added.
New York made Richburg a second-round draft pick out of Colorado State in 2014. He spent four seasons with the Giants and started 50 of his 51 game appearances during that time. Last season, Richburg was placed on injured reserve after just four games due to a concussion. In the three years before 2017, he started at least 15 games in each season
.Richburg was the second-highest graded center in 2015, according to Pro Football Focus.
