The winner of the coin toss will select with the ninth-overall pick in April's draft while the loser will choose 10th. The tiebreaker is taking place because each team finished with 6-10 records and matching strength-of-schedules (.512).
"I'm going to practice all offseason," 49ers general manager John Lynch joked last month according to the Sacramento Bee. "I'm talking to our analytics guys. I'm hearing it's 50-50."

The last time the 49ers and Raiders were both involved in a coin flip was in 2006. San Francisco won the toss and went on to select tight end Vernon Davis with the sixth-overall pick. Oakland selected safety Michael Huff at No. 7. Davis remains in the league while Huff played his last game in 2013.
