Oghobaase joined the 49ers as part of Kelly's coaching staff in 2016. Before San Francisco, Oghobaase spent time on the Duke and Ohio State staffs.
Former 49ers quarterback Thad Lewis will also be joining Kelly's staff. Lewis was among the players signed by San Francisco during Kelly's time as the head coach but was placed on injured reserve before the start of the 2016 season. Lewis also played for Kelly with the Philadelphia Eagles.
On Tuesday, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan didn't anticipate any changes to his coaching staff other than something similar to the situation with Oghobaase.
"I don't imagine any changes," Shanahan said. "It's still early. I haven't talked to everybody. I know we've got a few guys, especially right now, some colleges are interested in and stuff. We'll see how that plays out, but I'm hoping there's not changes."
h/t to Patrick Tulini for the find.
