Shanahan informed reporters that the 49ers came away from the game relatively unscathed. Rookie linebacker Reuben Foster sustained a shoulder stinger against the Jaguars while safety Adrian Colbert suffered a shoulder sprain. Both players will be limited during practices this week, and Shanahan expects each to be ready for Sunday's season finale against the Los Angeles Rams.
"We came out (of Sunday's game) pretty good," Shanahan said. "Just talked to [head athletic trainer Jeff Ferguson] a little bit ago. We had Reuben who got another stinger. He'll be limited this week with it but he should be alright for Sunday. And Colbert had an AC sprain so he'll be limited also but should be ok for Sunday too."
Foster's shoulder stinger was his second in as many weeks. However, Shanahan is confident the injuries are unrelated to the rotator cuff surgery the linebacker underwent following his final season at Alabama.
Foster was credited with five tackles and a pass defensed against the Jaguars while Colbert had six tackles.
