Bolden, who has appeared in nine games this season, injured his ankle during the 49ers' 26-16 victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday. He has 19 kick returns for 396 yards and four punt returns for an average gain of 5.8 yards.
Bolden, 22, was signed by the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State on May 4. As a sophomore, Bolden led the Beavers in receptions with 72 catches for 798 yards and two touchdowns while also contributing as a kick returner on special teams. Over his final two years at Oregon State, Bolden accumulated 92 receptions for 1,003 yards and five touchdowns, again while contributing on special teams.
McCaffrey was initially signed as an undrafted free agent by the Oakland Raiders on May 10, 2016. He was waived by Oakland on August 29, 2016, and signed to the Green Bay Packers practice squad on December 20, 2016. On January 21, McCaffrey was promoted to the Packers active roster before the NFC Championship Game but was inactive.
The Packers waived McCaffrey on September 2. Since then he has spent time on the practice squad of the New Orleans Saints and the active roster of the Jacksonville Jaguars. McCaffrey appeared in five games this season with Jacksonville and registered a reception for four yards before being waived on October 21. He rejoined the Packers practice squad on October 24.
