Schefter reports the following:
"There has been speculation that the 49ers could trade running back Carlos Hyde, but the team hasn't had any trade talks involving him and does not plan to have any, according to a team source."
Schefter also reports that the team the 49ers nearly sent linebacker NaVorro Bowman to via a trade was the New Orleans Saints. The 49ers ended up releasing Bowman, who plans to visit with the Oakland Raiders.
As for Hyde, the running back has carried the football 73 times for 332 yards and two touchdowns. He also has 18 receptions for 95 yards. Both of Hyde's touchdowns came during a Thursday night Week 3 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
In 2016, Hyde finished the season just 12 yards shy of his first 1,000-yard rushing season and missed the team's final game after being placed on injured reserve. Over his four-year career, Hyde has carried the football 488 times for 2,123 yards and 15 touchdowns while fumbling the football eight times and losing four. He also has 68 receptions for 379 yards and three touchdowns.
Hyde was a second-round selection by the 49ers out of Ohio State in 2014.
