Below are some quick notes from Monday's practice, which was the 49ers' 12th of training camp.
A pair of legendary 49ers were on hand for Monday's practice. Former wide receiver Jerry Rice and quarterback Steve Young were in attendance. They spoke to the team about the franchise's history and culture and then decide to stick around for practice. While Young played the part of a spectator, Rice caught some passes from 49ers quarterbacks and ran with the wide receivers during warmups.

There were no one-on-one drills during practice and players did not wear pads during the Monday session.
LB Aaron Lynch left practice after suffering what appeared to be a right ankle injury. He slowly walked off of the practice field and went to the locker room. Lynch had two sacks during Friday's win against the Chiefs.
DT Earl Mitchell also left practice due to an injury.
CB Dontae Johnson returned to practice in a blue no-contact jersey. He spent last week on the concussion protocol.
There were four consecutive touchdown passes between QB Brian Hoyer and QB Matt Barkley during red-zone drills. TE Garrett Celek, TE Blake Bell, WR Pierre Garçon, and WR Kendrick Bourne each came away with a touchdown reception on those passes.
Rookie CB Adrian Colbert had two interceptions during practice. He started training camp as a cornerback but has received some work at free safety due to injuries. S Lorenzo Jerome also came away with an interception, his third of training camp, against QB C.J. Beathard while playing at free safety. S Jaquiski Tartt played with the second-team defense.
Beathard had a touchdown pass to RB Raheem Mostert.
"Rookie receiver Victor Bolden made a diving catch 50 yards down the field on a Barkley throw against the coverage of cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon and Vinnie Sunseri," notes Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area.
"Victor Bolden Jr. provided the offensive highlight of the day with a diving catch deep downfield on a throw from Matt Barkley," wrote Joe Fann of 49ers.com.
DE Elvis Dumervil and DE Arik Armstead each had a sack.
