Goodwin is fast. Really fast. ESPN recently ranked him as the second-fastest player in the NFL behind just Kansas City Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill. It turns out, Goodwin is also a really nice guy.
As if he needed other ways to win over fans, Goodwin may have added to the reasons to like him following Monday's practice – the 49ers' fourth of training camp. The speedy receiver took the time to sing "Happy Birthday" to a young fan in attendance. You can watch the video below, which was posted on the 49ers' official Facebook page.
During practice on Monday, Goodwin had a little fun with the 49ers.com reporting crew by staring them down and then pointing to his shoes as a reminder of his speed. He showed off that speed during team drills when he caught two touchdown passes, one of which was a 60-yard pass from Hoyer.
"I'm constantly evolving as a receiver," Goodwin said on Saturday. "Each day, I come out, I do what I'm told, I fix the little things that I need to when watching film. It's continuing to show and that's a credit to my coach, my teammates for believing in me, pushing me each day and correcting me on the little details."
