Recruited as a lacrosse player in high school, Crossan turned down Michigan and Notre Dame for the opportunity to play football at New Hampshire. During four seasons with the Wildcats, he complied 5,189 all-purpose yards and scored 27 rushing touchdowns, eight receiving touchdowns, and a touchdown as a returner on special teams.
In 2016, Crossan had 1,281 yards and 10 touchdowns while averaging 5.5 yards per carry rushing the football.
Adding to running back and returner, Crossan also lined up as a slot receiver for New Hampshire – showing that he has versatility. At his pro day, he ran a 4.5-second 40-yard dash and finished the 20-yard shuffle in 4.06 seconds. That 20-yard shuffle time would have been the fastest at the NFL Combine had he been invited.
"I wouldn't say getting drafted is a goal of mine, but just as long as I get an opportunity to sign an NFL contract and make a 53-man roster, I'll be thrilled to have an opportunity to contribute," Crossan has said.
Other teams showing interest in the running back are the Seattle Seahawks, New York Giants, and New England Patriots.
