The San Francisco 49ers are among numerous teams that have met with Western Michigan OLB Keion Adams, per Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. The other teams were the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, and New York Jets.


Adams, who was a senior in 2016, had 49 tackles last season. 18 of those tackles were for a loss. He also had 7.5 sacks in 2016, which is important for a 49ers team that is searching for a pass rush. In 2016, the 49ers defense tied for 21st in the league in sacks with just 33 total. Only nine other defenses got to the quarterback less.


Through his four years with Western Michigan, Adams had 126 total tackles, 33 for a loss, 14.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and one pass defended.

Lance Zierlein of NFL Media had the following to say in his scouting report:

"Adams is an elusive pass rusher who wins with athleticism and foot quickness, but who may lack the size and length to be considered an every-down edge player in a 3-4 front. Adams has pursuit quickness around the field and can be very disruptive when allowed to shoot gaps against the run, but he will have to prove he can set a strong edge and hold his ground at the point of attack if he wants to become anything more than a situational rusher."
