As Yates points out, Bell missed the 2016 season after dislocating his ankle during organized team activities in May.
"[Bell] has really had a great offseason" Titans head coach Mike Mularkey said following the injury. "He's really worked hard. That's the first thing he said, 'I've worked so hard to have it end like this.' Those are the kinds of injuries that are going to happen in this game. It's unfortunate for him and unfortunate for us. He's a good football player, and we're going to miss him."
Bell, who was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Carolina Panthers out of New Mexico in 2011, started all 16 games for the Titans in 2015. The offensive lineman has played in 78 regular season games over his career, starting 72.
