It was just reported that the 49ers plan to sign Chicago Bears TE Logan Paulsen so it is unknown if that changes the team's interest in Bennett.
Update:
Bennett is not on the 49ers' radar, per CSN Bay Area.
In 2016, Bennett had 55 receptions for 701 yards and seven touchdowns in his only season with New England. He also had 11 receptions for 98 yards in the postseason and got a Super Bowl championship out of it. Bennett's best season came in 2014 when he had 90 receptions for 916 yards and six touchdowns with the Chicago Bears. He has also spent time with the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys.
The 6-foot-6 tight end turns 30 on Friday. Over his nine-year career, Bennett has 403 receptions for 4,287 yards and 30 touchdowns. He was drafted by Dallas in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M.
