"I just want to say, 'What's up?' to all the Niner Faithful," Shanahan said in the video that was shot in front of the team's headquarters in Santa Clara. "Just got here with my wife and I. We just flew in from Atlanta. So excited to be here you guys. I lived here throughout middle school and was part of the Niners organization just as a ball boy. Won some Super Bowls back then and can't wait to get started again.
"Just give us some time. Be patient with us. I promise you guys we're going to work as hard as anyone and do things the right way with good people, high character guys and it's going to be a lot of work, tough work, but I promise you guys it'll be worth it. And we'll do this right way and make you guys proud and will not let you guys down. Look forward to talking to you all."
Shanahan and Lynch will be formally introduced during a press conference on Thursday at 1 p.m. PT. You can watch the press conference via 49ers.com or CSN Bay Area.
