Former Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley is waiting to see if the 49ers hire Cable, per Michael Silver of NFL Media. Bradley worked on the same staff as Cable for two years while he was the defensive coordinator of the Seahawks. Los Angeles Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn has been pressuring Bradley to join his staff as defensive coordinator. Bradley will meet with Lynn and the Chargers today in Southern California.
In 2011 under Bradley, the Seahawks defense ranked 7th in points allowed, 9th in total yards allowed, 11th against the pass, and 15th against the run. In 2012, the unit ranked 1st in points allowed, 4th in total yards allowed, 6th against the pass, and 10th against the run.
