Of course, we have no idea who will be making that selection nor do we know who that young man's first NFL head coach will be. Both general manager Trent Baalke and head coach Chip Kelly were officially fired on Sunday.
Regardless, we now know the draft order for the top 20 picks. Below that are the playoff teams. Their final draft positioning will be determined by how far they go in the playoffs. The deeper they go, the worse the draft position.
There is also a tie at the number 14 spot between the Indianapolis Colts and the Philadelphia Eagles due to similar records and strength of schedule. A coin flip will determine who will draft at the number 14 and 15 spots.
Below is the current draft order, based on playoff seeding (21-32), record, and strength of schedule (SOS), for all 32 first-round spots if the season ended today with the spots for playoff teams likely to change by the end of postseason play.
