Two 49ers offensive lineman did not practice today. Yesterday, OG Andrew Tiller was a surprise listing on the practice report with an ankle injury. Neither he nor C Marcus Martin, who is also dealing with an ankle injury, practiced today.
OT Joe Staley has already stated this week that he hopes to play in the 49ers' finale against the Seattle Seahawks. He has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury.
"If I'm healthy, I'm 100 percent playing," Staley told Nick Wagoner of ESPN. "It just sucks sitting out. I've prided myself on being available to the football team every single week and had a nice little streak going there for a while. So it's kind of a bummer to sit out, especially with a hamstring injury. It feels good now, so I'm ready to go."
Staley practiced today but was limited. Earlier today, head coach Chip Kelly said that they would wait to see how Staley was recovering from his hamstring injury. "We'll see how today goes," Kelly said prior to practice. "He has trained Tuesday and Wednesday. A lot of the times with that type of injury, the muscle injury, is really to see what the effect is after the training session and today will be a hard day for him. So, today is going to be a big test for Joe and then how does he respond when he gets back here tomorrow morning."
