On Saturday, Hyde suffered an MCL sprain against the Los Angeles Rams. The injury will not require surgery and Hyde should be available for the team's offseason program. He was hit by cornerback E.J. Gaines following a catch. The hit caused the 49ers running back to fumble the football and Rams defensive lineman Morgan Fox recovered. The Rams would score on the ensuing drive to take a 14-point lead, but San Francisco came storming back to win 22-21.
Hyde, who becomes the 49ers' 18th player on injured reserve, came within 12 yards of reaching his first career 1,000-yard season. He would have become the 11th player in 49ers franchise history to accomplish the feat. Hyde started 13 games this season and had career-highs in rushes (217), rushing yards (988), rushing average (4.6), rushing touchdowns (six), receptions (27), receiving yards (163), and receiving touchdowns (three).
Moore, originally drafted by the New England Patriots in the 6th round of the 2014 NFL Draft, appeared in eight games as a rookie and had three tackles, half a sack, and a forced fumble as well as a recovery. The Patriots released him in September of 2015 and he was then signed to the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad. He appeared in one game for the Vikings in 2015 and spent the 2016 offseason with the team, but was released on September 3. He also spent time with the Dallas Cowboys but was released on December 26.
