The league's worst team (as far as records go) is currently in the lead and that's good news for the 1-13 San Francisco 49ers. At halftime, the Cleveland Browns (0-14) are up 17-10 on the visiting San Diego Chargers.

Why is that important to the 49ers? Should the Browns win the game, they would have the same record as the 49ers – assuming San Francisco loses today against the Los Angeles Rams. The 49ers would then take over the top spot in the projected order for the 2017 NFL Draft due to a weaker strength of schedule.

Of course, there is still an entire half for the Browns to fall apart and it is entirely possible that the 49ers beat the Rams in Los Angeles today. Should that happen, the 49ers would remain at the number two spot due to a weaker strength of schedule than the Jacksonville Jaguars, who currently sit at the number three spot.

Not that it impacts the 49ers' draft spot this week, but those Jaguars are currently leading the Tennessee Titans.

The Rams are 4.5-point favorites against the 49ers today and kickoff is at 1:25 p.m. PT.
