San Francisco 49ers head coach Chip Kelly met with the media today and confirmed that three players who were injured on Sunday in the loss to the Atlanta Falcons would be done for the season.

WR Quinton Patton, LB Nick Bellore, and TE Blake Bell are the players that will miss the 49ers' remaining two games. "I know three guys that are out is Quinton Patton and Bellore and Blake Bell," Kelly said. "There's a couple of other guys we're waiting to get answers on."


A reporter asked if they were out for the season. "Yes," Kelly answered. "There's a couple of other guys that went out in the game yesterday that we haven't gotten answers on. They're actually at the doctor's now."

Kelly was asked about NT Glenn Dorsey's status. "I don't know," he answered. "I just know he didn't finish the game."

Bellore left the game with an elbow injury on the Falcons' first offensive drive of the game. Following the injury, S Vinnie Sunseri replaced Bellore.

Patton left the game with a foot injury in the second quarter and was carted to the locker room. Bell went down following a 45-yard catch in the second quarter. He was also carted to the locker room following the play.

On Sunday, the team was already without starting wide receiver Torrey Smith, who suffered a concussion the week before against the New York Jets. Patton was the team's other starting wide receiver. Due to the team-issued suspension of Gerald Hodges for violating team policy, the team entered the game in Atlanta with just two inside linebackers, one of which was Bellore. The other was Michael Wilhoite.


Kelly was asked if he plans to play Hodges against the Rams. "We'll see how the week goes," he responded.

Other injuries from Sunday included CB Jimmie Ward and C Marcus Martin.

Earlier today, Kelly was on KNBR and discussed the impact of the injuries against the Falcons. "Well, I think for the amount of guys that we had to play -- we lost eight players yesterday in the game so it was a lot of mixing and matching and just trying to make sure we get everybody on the field," Kelly said. "I think that was a little bit difficult for us."
