The San Francisco 49ers went into the game with the Atlanta Falcons with just two inside linebackers due to Gerald Hodges being inactive for violating team rules. WR Torrey Smith, a starter, did not travel with the team after suffering a concussion against the New York Jets. OT Joe Staley was listed as out due to a hamstring injury.

TE Vance McDonald and C Daniel Kilgore were placed on injured reserve this week following injuries against the Jets. Against the Falcons, things did not get much better for San Francisco when it comes to injuries.


LB Nick Bellore left the game with an elbow injury on the Falcon's first drive of the game. He and Michael Wilhoite were the two inside linebackers active for the game. S Vinnie Sunseri replaced Bellore.

WR Quinton Patton left the game with a foot injury in the second quarter and was carted to the locker room. He was announced as out for the remainder of the game.

TE Blake Bell went down following a 45-yard catch in the second quarter. He was carted to the locker room following the play. He was announced as out for the remainder of the game.

CB Jimmie Ward left the game with a shoulder injury in the second quarter and was eventually carted to the locker room for evaluation. He was announced as out for the remainder of the game.

C Marcus Martin injured his ankle in the third quarter and was announced as out for the remainder of the game.
