Reid suffered a torn biceps injury during the final minutes of the 49ers' loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday. He had a successful surgery to repair the injury today.
In his fourth season with the 49ers since being selected by the team in the first round of the 2013 draft, Reid has 251 career tackles, a sack, 30 passes defended, eight interceptions, and two forced fumbles. This season, he had 48 tackles and one interception through 10 games.

Sunseri joined the 49ers practice squad on November 1 after being released from the New England Patriots' practice squad on October 24. He was drafted out of Alabama by the New Orleans Saints in the 5th round of the 2014 NFL Draft. In 2014, Sunseri played in nine games for the Saints and had five tackles on defense and six on special teams. He will wear number 40 with the 49ers.
Ball started his NFL career by signing with the Saints in April of 2014 as an undrafted free agent out of Memphis. During his rookie season, he played in 12 games, starting two. He had 12 tackles on defense and nine on special teams. In May of 2015, he signed with the Carolina Panthers' practice squad. He appeared in one game in 2016 with the Panthers but was released on October 11. He briefly spent time on the practice squad of the Jacksonville Jaguars before joining the 49ers.
