Kelly was asked if he has gotten any assurances from York that he would be with the team next season. "No," he answered. "We haven't had any conversations about that at all. About anybody's job security."
Kelly was then asked if he fully expected to be with the team next year. He responded to the reporter by asking, "Do you?" The reporter said that he hoped so and that he has a performance review coming in December. "That makes two of us," Kelly responded. "We're all in the same boat."
The 49ers are 1-9 this season and riding a franchise tying nine-game losing streak. The last time the 49ers lost nine straight was in 1978 and Kelly has become the first single coach to do it. In 1978, the nine straight losses were between two coaches. The team has never lost 10 straight in its history.
