Only nine other kickers have accomplished that feat. The latest was Sebastian Janikowski of the Oakland Raiders, who kicked his 400th field goal on November 7 against the Denver Broncos.
After becoming an unrestricted free agent at the start of the new league year in March, Dawson signed a one-year deal to return to the 49ers.
Dawson, who turned 41 in January, is in his 18th season in the NFL. He has attempted 472 field goals over his career.
