According to ProFootballTalk.com, the San Francisco 49ers are close to a deal with offensive tackle Joe Staley, the 28th overall pick in the 2007 draft.
This would make the 49ers only the second team to sign a first round round draft pick. The Bears are the other team having signed tight end Greg Olsen.
San Francisco's training camp starts on July 29th.
