Team has pre-draft visit with Hawk
The Sacramento Bee reports that 49ers coaches and team officials met with Ohio State linebacker A.J. Hawk on Friday, April 7. Hawk is one of several players the 49ers might tap with the No. 6 pick in the April 29-30 NFL Draft. Hawk said he has experience in both 4-3 and 3-4 defensive schemes and that he can play either outside or inside positions.
Woods gives up his number to Bryant
While already known by looking at the 49ers official roster, it was never officially announced that 49ers wide receiver Rashaun Woods has given up his number 81 jersey to new 49ers receiver Antonio Bryant. The Sacramento Bee announced it yesterday. Woods will now wear number 84 (which was also known).
