Cal QB Jared Goff, who the San Francisco 49ers are working out today in Berkeley along with several Cal wide receivers, remains the team's overwhelming projected pick among mock drafts in next month's NFL Draft. Goff has led our survey, now consisting of 100 mock drafts, for three weeks straight and has been the favorite projection for the 49ers' seventh overall selection for much longer than that. Although, his percentage has dropped slightly from 57.9 percent to 55 percent.

The top two players remain the same as last week, with the majority of mocks having the 49ers selecting Goff and North Dakota State QB Carson Wentz coming in a distant second. UCLA OLB Myles Jack returns to the top three after being pushed out last week. This time, he shares the number three spot with Ohio State DE Joey Bosa.

Quarterbacks make up 79 percent of the projections for the 49ers, a slight drop from 83 percent last week.

Why even report data from mock drafts other than to see where analysts and the media see players going? Last year, an overwhelming percentage of them had the 49ers taking Arik Armstead out of Oregon with their first round selection. While that actually happened, they were able to do so after trading down a few spots.

By David Bonilla

Three NFL Media analysts have recently released their mock drafts, projecting the potential moves of each team in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The San Francisco 49ers hold the No. 31 overall pick, marking their first Round 1 selection since 2021. The latest mock draft comes from Charles Davis, who has San Francisco addressing the offensive line, strengthening a unit that showed inconsistency last season. Davis predicts the 49ers will choose former Oklahoma tackle Tyler Guyton with their first selection. "The 49ers' offense will flourish as long as HC Kyle Shanahan is diagramming plays, and this agile former tight end has a chance to plug in

The San Francisco 49ers focused on defense in free agency but still have several needs heading into the 2024 NFL Draft. The team did not address the offensive line, and it's a safe bet they will do so with some rookie selections next month. The Niners could also continue bolstering things on the defensive side of the football. Adding to the defensive back, defensive line, or linebacker groups remains possibilities. Pro Football Focus analyst Brad Spielberger released his latest mock draft and doesn't have the 49ers drafting at any of those positions. Instead, he has the team adding a bit of an insurance policy on offense, drafting former Georgia wide receiver

With the initial wave of free agency signings complete, analysts can better predict what teams might do in next month's rookie selection event. Last month, ahead of the NFL Scouting Combine, Kiper projected the 49ers selecting former Penn State pass rusher Chop Robinson. San Francisco has recently bolstered its defensive end spot opposite Nick Bosa by signing

With the initial flurry of free agency in the books, respected draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah unveiled his latest mock draft, projecting teams' potential moves in the 2024 NFL Draft. While many fans questioned ESPN analyst Mel Kiper projecting Washington offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten to the 49ers with the No. 31 overall pick, Jeremiah's choice for the Bay Area team may receive a warmer reception. Despite the Niners adding defensive ends via free agency, Jeremiah has San Francisco using their first-round pick to add former Penn State pass rusher Chop
