Ex-49ers running back Roger Craig to deliver Super Bowl trophy Thirty-one years after his three-touchdown performance delivered a Super Bowl in the Bay Area, former 49ers running back Roger Craig will deliver the Super Bowl trophy to the Bay Area. Craig, who starred in the only previous Super Bowl in Northern California — the 49ers' 38-16 romp over the Dolphins at Stanford in 1985 — will carry the Vince Lombardi Trophy from a FedEx truck to its spot inside the NFL Experience at the Moscone Center in San Francisco at 10 a.m. Saturday. The arrival of the trophy will kick off the festivities for the Feb. 7 game between the Broncos and Panthers at Levi's Stadium. The sports books in Las Vegas and around the world have a rooting interest in the Super Bowl already, with money coming in on the Carolina Panthers. The odds are also up on the Most Valuable Player award, with Panthers quarterback Cam Newton less than an even-money proposition. Newton is a 5-7 favorite, while Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has 11-4 odds to win the day. The San Francisco 49ers are hosting several draft prospects this week as the deadline for pre-draft visits draws near. According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC2, the team will host former Western Kentucky wide receiver Malachi Corley on Wednesday. Corley is expected to be a Day 2 pick.
