Report: 49ers expected to fire Jim Tomsula

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Divisional playoff contest against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Defensive end Nick Bosa remains in the concussion protocol, and being cleared will be a challenge due to the short week of preparation. The good news is that he returned to practice on Wednesday. The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Wild Card playoff contest against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The good news for the 49ers is that tackle Trent Williams and running back Elijah Mitchell returned to practice after missing Wednesday's session. Mitchell played on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams, leading the team with 85 rushing yards, which Williams was inactive. #49ers LT Trent Williams (elbow) IS on the field during early portion of practice.

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Wild Card playoff contest against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Kyle Shanahan spoke with reporters after practice and named just four players on his game-status report—three defenders and punter Mitch Wishnowsky. Wishnowsky spent the week in the concussion protocol and linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair has been inactive the last two games due to a knee injury. The others are linebacker Marcell Harris and rookie safety Talanoa Hufanga. Tackle Trent Williams, who is dealing with an elbow injury, was not named and looks set to play on Sunday.
