Richard Sherman named among NFL's 30 best players over 30

Who doesn't love a good random ranking during training camp? NFL Media posted its list of the league's 30 best players over 30, and San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman comes in around midway through the ranking. A player will have to be 30 years old as of the scheduled start of the season on September 10 to qualify for this ranking. Sherman is 32. Then the players are ranked by Ali Bhanpuri and Tom Blair according to who they feel is best right now. Why three of five Bleacher Report writers pick Seahawks over 49ers to win NFC West

While the Seattle Seahawks closed the gap a bit on the San Francisco 49ers with the trade for safety Jamal Adams, the Super Bowl runner-ups remain the favorite to repeat as NFC West champions. Bleacher Report may not see it that way, though. The site asked five of its NFL writers to pick each division's winners, and the NFC West wasn't the landslide victory for the 49ers that you might expect. The 49ers will cut good players in 2020. When you have a Super Bowl roster, sometimes good isn't good enough.
