The San Francisco 49ers are holding their local pro day today at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. The team has released the full roster of participants.

An NFL local pro day is an event hosted by teams to allow prospects with ties to the local area to showcase their skills in front of team personnel. These prospects typically hail from nearby colleges or have some other connection to the region where the team is based. Head coach Kyle Shanahan, general manager John Lynch, and a contingent of coaches, executives, and scouts will be on hand to evaluate prospective draftees during the 49ers' local pro day.

The event aims to give the team a closer look at these local talents who may have received less attention during the regular scouting process. It will allow the 49ers to spend extra time with local players they may be interested in drafting or signing as undrafted free agents. It's worth noting that today's attendees won't count toward the 49ers' 30-player limit for pre-draft visits, as teams can host unlimited local prospects.

San Francisco drafted none of last year's 36 local pro day participants. Only one, offensive lineman Corey Luciano, was later signed by the team as an undrafted free agent.

According to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area, the following players will participate in the one-day workout. The list includes four veterans who will try out for the team.

The San Francisco 49ers kicked off organized team activities (OTAs) this week, and star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk was the most noticeable absentee. However, his absence wasn't unexpected. Aiyuk and the 49ers reportedly remain far apart in their contract extension negotiations, and this portion of the offseason remains voluntary. Head coach Kyle Shanahan was asked how he feels about Aiyuk not being around for OTAs. "The same as I do about all these guys that aren't here," Shanahan responded. "I mean, I wish they were here, but it's something that's part of the business. Anytime it's part the business part, you try to respect it, stay out of it as much as possible, and look
