49ers-Cowboys Injury Report: Two D-linemen limited during Wednesday practice

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Divisional Round playoff contest against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The 49ers escaped Saturday's playoff win over the Seattle Seahawks relatively unscathed. Only two players, the same ones who were inactive this past weekend due to injuries, did not practice on Wednesday, not counting tackle Trent Williams, who gets a veteran day off. They are quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and cornerback Ambry Thomas.

Only three players—wide receiver Jauan Jennings, defensive end Samson Ebukam, and defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw—were limited practice participants.

The 49ers will benefit from extra rest, having last played on Saturday. They will have seven full days between games, while the Cowboys will have just five, having played on Monday night.

The San Francisco 49ers are widely expected to fortify the trenches in this week's draft, utilizing some of their 10 selections to add to the offensive and defensive lines. According to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area, the team recently welcomed two Texas A&M linemen for pre-draft visits: Layden Robinson, an offensive guard, and McKinnley Jackson, a defensive tackle. Both are anticipated to be drafted on Day 3. The San Francisco 49ers are hosting several draft prospects this week as the deadline for pre-draft visits draws near. According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC2, the team will host former Western Kentucky wide receiver Malachi Corley on Wednesday. Corley is expected to be a Day 2 pick. San Francisco owns two selections on Day 2—the No. 63 overall pick in the second round and the No. 94 overall pick in the third round. Currently, the receiver is visiting with the Seattle Seahawks. Two reported 49ers pre-draft visits didn't end up happening

Despite initial reports, two draft prospects who were set to visit the San Francisco 49ers ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft ultimately did not meet with the team. Matt Barrows of The Athletic revealed that former USC wide receiver Brenden Rice and former Oregon safety Jamal Hill didn't end up visiting the Bay Area organization. Barrows wrote, "Meanwhile, a report in March indicated that USC receiver Brenden Rice, the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerry Rice, would visit the 49ers, but he didn't end up coming, according to two league sources." Brandon Aiyuk's agent denies report of Steelers 'aggressively pursuing' the 49ers receiver

On Wednesday, Chat Sports contributor Chase Senior reported that the Pittsburgh Steelers were "aggressively pursuing" San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. He further stated that the Steelers are confident they can finalize a deal for the star player. REPORTS: The Pittsburgh Steelers are aggressively pursuing a Brandon Aiyuk trade and the Steelers would be "surprised" if they don't land Aiyuk. Of note: Pittsburgh has the 20th overall pick. The Niners could look at that as equal value for Aiyuk if they can't get a deal done.…
