The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 2 contest against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Today's biggest injury-related news is the return of tight end George Kittle to practice. He had missed the past five practices, including two this week, after suffering a groin strain on September 5. Kittle missed the 49ers' Week 1 matchup against the Chicago Bears. While he is officially listed as "questionable" for Sunday, his return to practice bodes well for his chances of a return.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan said there is more optimism regarding Kittle's chances of playing compared to last week. The team will continue to evaluate the situation and his status will be a game-time decision.

"He's healthier seven days later than he was last week when he was questionable [to play in Week 1]," Shanahan said.

Offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill has been ruled out for the second consecutive game. He is attempting to return from a hamstring injury suffered during the preseason.

Below are the official injury reports for the 49ers and Seahawks, provided by the 49ers Communications staff. Also included are Friday's practice participation reports.

Daniel Jeremiah weighs in on 49ers potentially trading up in the draft

By David Bonilla
Apr 17

Today, NFL Media draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah spoke to the media during a nearly two-hour conference call, fielding questions about the 2024 NFL Draft. One question surrounded the possibility of the San Francisco 49ers trading up in the first round to increase their chances of landing an impact player. Depending on the 49ers' priorities, Jeremiah only believes a significant move is necessary if the team tries to target a couple of defensive positions. "I mean, they've got a nice haul of picks here, so if they want to move up, they absolutely have the ammunition to do so," Jeremiah stated. "I just think when you look at the needs that they have and some of the different areas that they could go, if you're thinking about corners and edge rushers, maybe you miss
