The San Francisco 49ers had their second organized team activities (OTAs) day on Tuesday, which was the first day open to the media.

All eyes were on quarterback Trey Lance, who has faced unnecessary scrutiny since the beginning of the offseason, as it was the first time that he was seen on the 49ers' field in a practice capacity since then.

Here's a breakdown of Tuesday's practice:

Trey Lance does Trey Lance things

Fresh off a number of rumors, Trey Lance came out onto the practice field and dazzled during 7-on-7s, completing 15 of 17 passes during the period, per NBC Sports's Matt Maiocco.

While a number of the passes were reportedly checkdowns, it's a nice start for Lance as he settles in with the first-team reps.

49ers getting players ready for training camp

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing several veterans for training camp as they return from various injuries and procedures during the offseason.

Linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair had knee and shoulder surgeries in the offseason, which is why he wasn't present at OTAs on Tuesday, but should be ready for training camp.

Additionally, right tackle Mike McGlinchey and defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw are reportedly ahead of schedule with their recoveries and should be ready for training camp as well.

Tight end George Kittle and linebacker Fred Warner both are sitting out due to minor lower-body injuries, but were both present at OTAs on Tuesday on the sidelines.

Tarvarius Moore returns to practice

Safety Tarvarius Moore, who suffered a torn Achilles last offseason, was present and active at OTAs on Tuesday, adding to a competitive safety room that includes second-year player Talanoa Hufanga, George Odum, and Jimmie Ward.

There was uncertainty regarding Moore's timeline, but his presence at OTAs will provide him with an opportunity to take over the starting safety spot opposite Jimmie Ward in what should be an open battle.

Offensive Line

The 49ers had several starters missing from their offensive line on Tuesday: left tackle Trent Williams, right guard Daniel Brunskill, and right tackle Mike McGlinchey.

Here are the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-team offensive linemen from Tuesday:
