The San Francisco 49ers announced that they have activated cornerback
Deommodore Lenoir off the reserve/COVID-19 list. The team had six players on the list last week. All except Lenoir were activated in time for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams. Although, cornerback K'Waun Williams did not yet feel well enough to play, and was inactive.
The 49ers signed tight end
Tanner Hudson to the practice squad.
Unfortunately, the following three players have been placed on the 49ers' practice squad/COVID-19 list.
- CB Luq Barcoo
- QB Tyler Bray
- FB Josh Hokit
NFL Media's
Tom Pelissero had reported that only one 49ers player was landing on the COVID-19 list, which is what the NFL transaction wire shows. However, the Niners reported the other two via a media update.
The 49ers are preparing to open the playoffs on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium.

The event aims to give the team a closer look at these local talents who may have received less attention during the regular scouting process. It will allow the

Rapoport: 49ers send clear message to teams inquiring about Brandon Aiyuk
Ian Rapoport didn't offer much of an update on the ongoing contract negotiations between the San Francisco 49ers and their standout wide receiver, Brandon Aiyuk. However, the NFL insider emphasized one thing: The team is not entertaining trade discussions at this juncture.
Reacting to Aiyuk's decision to unfollow the 49ers on Instagram, Rapoport couldn't help but chuckle at the latest development. This practice has become commonplace among players who are unhappy with their contract situations. Wide receiver Deebo Samuel similarly took this action in 2022 before requesting to be traded just before the draft.
Things have yet to escalate that far with Aiyuk, but Rapoport sees his
