49ers OTAs: Kyle Shanahan provides several injury updates
By David Bonilla

Kyle Shanahan wasn't eager to share an injury report on Tuesday after the San Francisco 49ers concluded their second practice of organized team activities. He had a list of injuries in front of him in case anyone asked about specific players. However, the coach didn't unnecessarily volunteer any information because he doesn't have to right now.
That didn't stop reporters from asking about specific players based on their lack of participation during Tuesday's practice. Those questions led to Shanahan providing several updates.

NFL analyst believes Jimmy Garoppolo starts for 49ers after hearing more about Trey Lance doubt
By David Bonilla

Ryan Harris, a former offensive lineman turned broadcaster and analyst, joined CBS Sports HQ to discuss the young quarterbacks of the San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears. He was asked which passer—Trey Lance or Justin Fields—finds himself in the best situation. Harris' answer? Lance, who is on a roster coming off an NFC title game appearance.
However, there is one caveat to that answer.
"But I'm here to tell you, after people I've talked to, everyone I've spoken to expected Jimmy Garoppolo to start [Week 1 against the Bears]," Harris said.

49ers rookie Drake Jackson ready to 'get the answers to the test' from Nick Bosa
By David Bonilla

Drake Jackson knows he's going into a great situation. Two weeks ago, the 21-year-old rookie defensive end was the first selection by the San Francisco 49ers, added during the second round. Eventually, the 49ers expect him to fill the role once envisioned for Dee Ford—a strong pass rusher opposite phenom Nick Bosa.
Jackson could develop into that complementary piece for the 49ers defense. Luckily, he has a great role model in Bosa.
"Watching him, the whole D-line, watching them hunt, I cannot wait to go get out there with those guys and just turn up with them," Jackson told reporters on Friday.
After Jackson was drafted, Bosa was among several
