WATCH: 49ers’ Nick Bosa gets his career-high 10th sack of the season

During Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, defensive end Nick Bosa posted his ninth and tenth sacks of the season, on the same drive, the latter giving him his career high in a season.

In his rookie season, Bosa had nine sacks through the regular season, and after missing almost all of last season with an ACL tear, the 24-year old has resurged this season, as he came into Sunday's game with eight sacks through the first nine games.

Bosa has already reached his career high of ten sacks, and there's still an entire half season to go.

Bosa will look to build on his already-impressive season through the last seven games, and add to his sack total, as the 49ers look to make a playoff push in 2021.

49ers Notebook: Shanahan on Jimmy Garoppolo's mistakes; D.J. Jones' high praise for Arik Armstead; Deebo gets his wish

By Kirk Larrabee
Jan 16

What did Kyle Shanahan think of Jimmy Garoppolo's performance against the Cowboys on Sunday? And what did D.J. Jones say after the 49ers' 23-17 win over the Cowboys that left Arik Armstead flattered? Let's answer those questions and more in this roundup of notes and quotes from the 49ers' postgame press conferences. * The good and not-so-good for Jimmy G: Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo had an up-and-down performance against the Cowboys on Sunday, completing 16-of-25 passes for 172 yards with zero touchdowns and one interception. Garoppolo went 11-for-14 for 133 yards in the first half but cooled down considerably in the second half while having a couple moments that would have proven to be too costly had the Cowboys been able to successfully rally

Nick Bosa details his injury recovery ahead of 49ers-Cowboys: "I'm coming around really well"

In the midst of a decorated season in which defensive end Nick Bosa collected 21 TFL, 15.5 sacks, and forced 4 fumbles, it's hard to believe that the star was out with a torn ACL just one year ago. The injury came Week 2 of the 2020 NFL season in a matchup against the New York Jets. Bosa told NFL Network that he immediately knew he'd suffered a serious injury after the tear happened, "I knew for sure. I think you want to fake your mind into thinking that you're okay and try and take those steps but I knew exactly what happened and that it was going to be a long road." An important part of the recovery process, Bosa and GM John Lynch agree, was the dietary restrictions placed on him throughout the year. "[The diet] is definitely helping. I just wanted to take one

49ers' Kyle Shanahan shocked by Nick Bosa All-Pro snub

By David Bonilla
Jan 14

Two San Francisco 49ers players—tackle Trent Williams and wide receiver Deebo Samuel—were named to the 2021 NFL All-Pro Team. Noticeably absent from the new list of All-Pros was defensive end Nick Bosa, who finished behind T.J. Watt, Myles Garrett, Robert Quinn, and Maxx Crosby in the voting. At least one person inside the 49ers organization felt the third-year pass rusher was snubbed. "I definitely think Bosa should be there; there's no doubt about that," head coach Kyle Shanahan said on Friday. "I'm shocked that—I don't think people appreciate how good Bosa is, play-in and play-out. I've heard people talk about him for Comeback Player of the Year, and every time they say that, I can't believe he hasn't been mentioned in Defensive Player of the
