After clinching a playoff berth against a star-studded Los Angeles Rams team in the final minutes of Sunday's thrilling 27-24 game, it seems like the Niners have a stronger opponent ahead of them: the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys had their best season, finishing 12-5 and making the playoffs as the third seed in the NFC with the help of a very talented roster and experienced coaching staff. 49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan knows he'll have his hands full in this matchup. "I mean you can see why [the Cowboys] are in this position. I mean just offensively, defensively, special teams; I mean their numbers are you know off the charts on both sides in both phases; they've got very good talent they've got very good schemes." Throughout its illustrious history, the beauty of the NFL is that it lives up to the often-repeated cliche, "It is a copycat league." Seemingly without fail, either an innovative head coach or a uniquely talented player comes along and changes the way the game is played. Sometimes the perfect match happens when a franchise has both the otherworldly brilliant head coach and the uber gifted athlete. It appears that the San Francisco 49ers have found this magic mix for a second time. Today, the combination of the ever-creative 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan is paired with the insanely talented wide receiver Deebo

Wide receiver Deebo Samuel called his San Francisco 49ers a "real dangerous" team heading into the postseason. "It's about to get scary," Samuel said in a post-game interview. NFL Media's Maurice Jones-Drew agrees. In the wide-open NFC playoffs, the 49ers could be one of the more intriguing teams. Most left them for dead after a 2-4 start to the season. However, they finished strong, winning eight of their last 11, including Sunday's thrilling 27-24 overtime victory to secure a playoff spot. Jones-Drew believes the 49ers have what it takes to make some noise and go as far as they

With an impressive Sunday afternoon 27-24 win against the Los Angeles Rams, it seems like the 49ers are reaching the expectations fans had for the team before the season. Sitting at a 10-7 record with the 6th seed in the NFC, they now look to face the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday. With the 49ers being as dangerous as teams come in the NFL currently, it's hard to remember that, just prior to the season, San Francisco went through an overhaul in terms of organization on the coaching and leadership staff. Former pass-game coordinator Mike LaFleur and, most importantly, defensive coordinator Robert Saleh both departed for the Jets, leaving huge vacancies to fill during the offseason. Fortunately, the Niners elevated Mike McDaniel to fill an offensive coordinator role and former
