Fred Warner, Nick Bosa have confidence in team’s mentality and approach after tough loss

Sunday's 28-21 loss to the Seattle Seahawks felt like somewhat of a demoralizing one for the San Francisco 49ers, but two of the team's defensive standouts -- defensive end

Fred Warner --expect to see their teammates carry a positive mentality forward as the challenges in their schedule continue.
The 49ers were in control of the game for most of the first half but the Seahawks managed to lock themselves in a 7-7 tie with the 49ers at halftime. The Seahawks then took control in the second half, building a 28-13 lead before holding on late to come out of Levi's Stadium with a win. The loss was the second consecutive home defeat for the 49ers, who now sit at 2-2 on the season after a last-second loss to the Green Bay Packers last week.
Things won't get any easier for the 49ers next week when they travel to Arizona to take on the 4-0 Cardinals. But while they were visibly dejected after Sunday's loss to the Seahawks, Bosa and Warner provided a positive outlook when it comes to what lies ahead.
"It's not good whenever you lose, but I think we have a good team and the right mentality," Bosa said. "I think we'll be ready to go for next week."
Adding to the frustration of Sunday's loss was the fact the 49ers added more injuries to key players, with kicker Robbie Gould unable to play after a pregame groin injury and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (calf) and offensive tackle
Trent Williams (shoulder) coming down with injuries during the game. Injuries like those conjure up negative memories of 2020, when the 49ers were unable to successfully defend their 2019 NFC Championship due in large part to a seemingly never-ending string of injuries. But with just four games in the books, Warner isn't about to let any injury issues curb his enthusiasm.
"It's so early in the season I'm not concerned about that," Warner said. "We're focused on getting back in the lab, going hard. And I'm excited. I'm excited to get back to work."
Still, expect the 49ers to have some urgency coming off Sunday's defeat. Falling to 2-3 with two losses in the division is undoubtedly an outcome they'd like to avoid against the Cardinals next Sunday, and they'll have to pick things up a notch in order for that to happen.
"It's always urgent after a loss. It's not that there wasn't urgency after last week's loss," Warner said. "That one stung a lot because of the manner that we lost. It's always going to sting though, especially in the division. We're going to be mad about it after losing like that. There's always a sense of urgency. It's at an even heightened level for myself. And I speak for the rest of the team -- we're all going to look ourselves in the mirror and see how can we get better. That starts as soon as we leave this spot right here."
