Wide receiver Deebo Samuel and linebacker Fred Warner were among the players who exited Sunday's game between the San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings due to injuries. Head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke with reporters via a conference call on Monday and provided several injury updates, including those suffered by Samuel and Warner. Wide receiver Deebo Samuel suffered a groin strain. "I expect him to miss one to two weeks," Shanahan said. The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 12 contest against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Running back Elijah Mitchell is still in a blue no-contact jersey, per the only reporter on hand to watch Friday's practice, Matt Barrows of The Athletic. Mitchell is still recovering from surgery to repair a finger fracture. I was the only reporter on hand for the early portion of practice, which either means I'm incredibly dedicated or I'm a massive loser. (Please don't answer which). Linebackers Dre Greenlaw and Marcell Harris did not practice. Harris remains in the concussion protocol. Both sustained their injuries during Sunday's win over the Minnesota Vikings. Greenlaw has been ruled "out" while Harris is "questionable." Running back Trey Sermon was also absent from practice due to the ankle injury suffered on Sunday. "It's not [a high-ankle sprain], but it was a pretty bad one," head coach Kyle Shanahan said earlier this week before admitting that injured reserve is a possibility for the rookie running back. "He'll be out for a little while." KNBR's Jake Hutchinson reports

Watch out NFL: Kyle Shanahan says 49ers' Nick Bosa is 'getting better each week'

By David Bonilla
Nov 23

San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa racked up nine sacks during his NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year campaign in 2019. He has already surpassed that mark through 10 games this season. Bosa's 10 sacks are tied for the fifth-most in the NFL. Imagine the number he could have amassed if he wasn't being held so often by blockers doing whatever they can to prevent the dominating defender from getting to their quarterbacks. On Sunday, you saw it with Jacksonville's Jawaan Taylor holding onto Bosa, who still managed to reach rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence. "The reason why [he's being held so often] is he's so good and so fast at taking that inside move,"
