Things have been uncharacteristically bad for the Seattle Seahawks lately. After starting the season 2-2, with one of those wins coming on the road against the 49ers in Week 4, the Seahawks have struggled as much as any team in the NFL, losing six of their last seven games. The offense has been problematic while quarterback Russell Wilson hasn't found his top form since returning from finger surgery, and at this point it seems likely they'll miss the postseason for only the second time since 2012. March (6-0, 222) originally entered the NFL after signing with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent on May 11, 2015. Throughout his six-year career with the Chiefs (2015-16), Miami Dolphins (2017), Seattle Seahawks (2017), and Dallas Cowboys (2017-20), he has appeared in 59 games (five starts)

On Wednesday, the San Francisco 49ers signed safety Doug Middleton to the practice squad. One day later, the team placed him on the injured reserve list. The situation has prompted the 49ers to re-sign safety Kai Nacua to the practice squad. San Francisco released Nacua on Wednesday as part of a move to make room on the practice squad for Middleton and linebacker Justin March. The 49ers initially signed Nacua to the practice squad on November 24, 2020. He spent part of last season on the active roster and signed a one-year extension to remain with the team on February 11. Carlos Dunlap's hand may have been all that stopped the San Francisco 49ers from scoring on their final play during their 30-23 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
